Dr. Lisa Greene has been practicing with Asheville Vision Associates for the past 12 years. Having attained her B.S. in Biology from McKendree University in Illinois, she went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry from the University of St. Louis' school of Optometry. She now specializes in contact lens fittings, and is also trained and certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. Dr. Greene is a member of the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina Optometric Association, and the Mountain District Optometric Association.
Dr. Greene has lived in Western North Carolina for the past 14 years, and enjoys calling the area her home. A member of her local, charitable, optometry organizations, Dr. Greene is also an active participant in the One Sight Foundation, an international association which aims to provide vision services to those in need world wide. Serving the needs of thousands of individuals each trip, to date she has participated in mission trips to Ecuador, Chile, Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador. This year, 2009, she will be her mission team's lead doctor as they travel to Paraguay.
Dr. Greene's mission is to provide her patients with professional, individualized care, which covers the full spectrum of a person's visual health. She believes in providing her patients with better sight for a better life, and is willing to work with her patients to achieve this goal.
