Dr. Morse was born in the great state of Montana. He migrated south with his family and stayed there until high school. He attended high school and college in Michigan. He earned his Bachelors degree in Visual Science from Ferris State University and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Ferris State University as well. Upon graduation Dr. Morse began his Optometry career in Georgia and then moved to North Carolina where he has been ever since.
Dr. Morse started his practice in Asheville in 1989. Asheville Vision Associates practices primary care optometry and specializes in contact lenses. Dr. Morse has a special interest in specialty contact lenses including multifocal contact lenses, lenses for astigmatism and gas permeable contact lenses. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina Optometric Society and the Mountain District Optometric Society.
Dr. Morse is very involved with the Gift of Sight and One Sight Foundations and has done 9 international missions and many domestic missions. During these missions tens of thousands of people were examined and given glasses that they otherwise would not have been able to afford.
Dr. Morse lives in north Asheville with his wife Lisa. They have two children Katy and Kyle. Katy wants to pursue a career in Optometry like her father and Kyle loves to play soccer for his club and high school teams.
